Does the hot melt adhesive have a shelf life?
GZWW hot melt adhesive is a solid binder based on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) and a combination of tackifier and other ingredients.
Hot melt adhesives also have a shelf life. Long-term contact with air can cause the hot melt adhesive to slowly oxidize. If it is improperly stored, it will cause the glue to become yellow, and the EVA hot melt adhesive itself is not waterproof. It will be placed in a humid place for a long time. If it is too hot or too cold, it will have a certain influence on the viscosity of the hot melt adhesive. But if you keep it properly, you can extend its life.
When the hot melt glue stick or the hot melt adhesive is idle, the hot melt adhesive is sealed and stored in a cool and dry place, which can slow down the oxidation speed of the glue stick. Avoid exposure to sunlight, contact with steam, water and alcohol solvents, generally for 1 year to 3 years.
